In the modern world we have forgotten how to treat the whole person, but instead separate our health and life style. An approach is needed that is holistic, so that the body and mind become aligned with each other. Eating Psychology is a new way to work with people who have been struggling with a wide range of eating issues. Often my clients do not recognise these issues as being a result of their eating behaviours.

My Qualifications and Experience

Ruth, the Founder of Nutrition Mind Body Balance.I trained at the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, gaining certification as an Eating Psychology Coach.

I have spent many years learning about nutrition and physiological processes in the body.  My previous studies have included a B.Sc. in Human Physiology at Portsmouth Polytechnic, an M.Sc. in Applied Immunology at Brunel University and a P. G.C.E at Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Further Education. I have had a varied experience of coaching and mentoring colleagues and students. In addition, my experience of life and personal health issues have given me an ideal base to practise as a Certified Eating Psychology Coach.

My Professional Practice

In my professional practice, I combine many of the best strategies from nutritional  science and eating psychology. I focus on what is  right for your body and your personal style. This means that my approach is individual to you. My guidance involves exploring new ways of doing things. As a result, many of my clients find that they grow in ways that they had not expected.
